My car doesn’t have a convenient way to charge my phone while it’s in its holder. I’m the past, I’ve solved this by just not using maps while it charged, or using a battery pack to charge it (which has worked well enough that I didn’t worry about it for a long while).
I found a new solution, that I’m very pleased with! I got a XMSJSIY OBD to USB Power Cable that gets power from that thing that mechanics can use to get those mysterious codes from your car to diagnose it (I got a
BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBDIIG4TSc to get those codes, which got me thinking).
The nice thing about the ODB2 port, which has been mandatory since about the mid-1990s,is that it’s very close to where you need power for your phone. I managed to fairly completely hide the cable and it’s now always ready to charge my phone in my iOttie Wireless Car Charger
