Nathan
Doctor with an increasingly deep interest in all things to do with Discourse. Became properly involved with online communities after joining discourse.digitalhealth.net in 2018 while undertaking a digital health fellowship in Birmingham, UK. Established an NZ slice of that instance later that year, which has since migrated out on its own (with the help of @pfaffman) and absorbed a couple of other communities (more help from @pfaffman) to form forum.hinz.org.nz.
Just before lockdown back in NZ, delved into the world of sysadmin by setting up healthforum.nz in a wild ride with the wise hands of Pavilion to guide him. First commit via github.com/nathan-nz made in July 2021, and has had an extremely tenuous claim to be an open source developer since.
Loves working towards helping sites function richly and cleanly, with a clear logical design and UX. Enjoys pushing the limits of Discourse, and especially the Pavilion plugins. Skilled at driving community growth and delivering creative solutions to curly problems. Recognition and appreciation make him come back for more (hint hint).
